Looking forward to a Dorkensian Christmas

St Martin’s Walk in Dorking is helping to provide some festive cheer for local people by taking part in the Very Dorkensian Christmas Festival next month.

The event takes place in the town on Sunday, December 3, from noon until 6pm and our shopping centre will be hosting several activities, such as the Gin Kitchen, face painting and children’s activities, while entertainment will be provided by the Martineau Band and Seasonal Brass.

St Martin’s Walk will also host the FoodFloat, which sells seasonal, locally sourced produce; Circular Dorking, a sustainability group that will host children’s activities; and Dorking Minds, which supports people with mental health.

Kathy Kyle, Dorking Business Improvement District (BID) manager said: “We are delighted to feature St Martin’s Walk in our Very Dorkensian Christmas. It is a vibrant hub in the heart of Dorking that perfectly reflects our town’s spirit, with an eclectic mix of award-winning shops and a great range of eateries to grab a drink and bite to eat. It offers open spaces and public seating to relax and take a moment for yourself, or to meet with friends and family.

“It is a perfect hub for our ‘Volunteer Village’ as the feeling for the community continues. It’s the perfect blend of shopping, dining and community spirit.”

Kat Behbahani of St Martin’s Walk, which is owned and managed by Evolve Estates, the national commercial property and investment company that is part of M Core, added: “We’re really looking forward to being part of this wonderful festive event and hope as many people come and enjoy the activities. It promises to be a great day for all the family.”
